Gambling harm support (RCA Trust)

Who is this for?

Anyone experiencing harm from their own gambling, or from someone else’s gambling.

Who provides this?

  • RCA Trust

Description

RCA Trust is the leading national service for the prevention and treatment of gambling harms across Scotland.

Our work is centred around three key areas:

  • Treatment and support
We provide free, confidential support to people experiencing harm from their own gambling, as well as affected others and family members. This can include one-to-one support, counselling, group work and recovery-focused interventions.
  • Education and training
We deliver gambling harms awareness training to a wide range of organisations and frontline professionals, helping them better understand gambling harms, identify concerns and have confident conversations about support and referral pathways.
  • Prevention and early intervention
We work with communities and partner organisations across Scotland to raise awareness, reduce stigma and improve early identification of gambling harms before they escalate.

Our approach recognises gambling harms as a public health issue, which can impact individuals, families and communities and often sit alongside issues such as financial hardship, mental health, alcohol and drug use.
