Description

Our service is run by the Development Officer for Midlothian, with opportunities for volunteers to get involved (see the Connecting Communities website for details).

We aim to remove barriers to active travel and make walking, cycling, and other forms of active travel accessible to everyone. We offer:

  • One-to-one sessions: Learn to ride, build confidence, develop road skills, and plan safe routes.
  • Group activities: Led rides, health walks, and buggy walks to get people moving in a safe, supportive environment.
  • Equipment support: We can loan bikes, including e-bikes and cargo bikes, to help people try active travel without needing to buy equipment upfront.

Our activities are inclusive, friendly, and designed to help participants gain confidence, improve health and wellbeing, and enjoy their local environment.
