British Red Cross – Support for older people

The British Red Cross has several projects in Midlothian to support people aged 55 years and over.

Service Description

Neighbourhood Links provide advice, information and practical support to assist people over 55 to stay as independent as possible in their own home. Neighbourhood link workers can support you with benefit checks, blue badge and housing.

Local Area Coordinators produce a monthly calendar of local activities throughout Midlothian and provide advice and practical support to over 55 to join social groups in the area.

The Assisted Discharge project supports older people in Midlothian being discharged from the hospital.

Living in Midlothian and 55 years old or over.

This service accepts direct self referrals.

Agency Referral

Anyone can make a referral.
