Enable Scotland – Local Area Co-ordination

Local Area Co-ordination (LAC) is a preventative asset-based approach to supporting people to connect to their communities and build better lives.

Service Description

The aim of LAC is to enable capacity building, to develop peer support and increase community inclusion. LAC provides the light touch of minimal input but remains in the background until people are confident, at their own pace.

Midlothian LAC works with individuals, families and communities to identify and achieve their good life. Where existing opportunities are available, the team will introduce people to these; where none exist and will work with individuals, communities, agencies or services to facilitate these opportunities.
