Artlink aims to increase opportunities to take part in the arts, for those who experience disadvantage or disability in the East of Scotland. Artlink establishes partnerships with artists, venues and organisations to help encourage positive change.
Service Description
Artlink want to learn more about the potential of art within communities, how it can enhance individual lives, how it helps raise awareness when something isn’t working the way it should or how it can encourage us to look at issues from a different perspective.
Arts Access
Artlink also offers practical support so people can get involved and work with venues to increase opportunities to enjoy the arts. Arts Access links people who want to discover and enjoy the arts in Edinburgh. Members go to a wide variety of events at theatres, galleries, museums, cinemas, historic buildings, sculpture parks etc. Arts Access provides information about what’s on, books tickets, matches members with volunteers who would like to accompany them and then organises transport. It’s a door-to-door service that helps people participate in arts.
