Addiction

Addiction doesn’t just mean a reliance on drugs and alcohol. You can be addicted to a range of activities such as gambling, sex, shopping and the internet. It’s considered an addiction when you don’t have control over your behaviour and it is causing damage to your health and/or day-to-day life.

Here you can find factsheets, tips and information, addiction diaries, organisations, apps, podcasts and services available in Midlothian which can help you better understand addiction and how to manage it so you can live the life you want.
