What can be listed on Midspace?
Services and support
To be included on Midspace, services must be:
- Non-discriminatory and accessible to people with mental health difficulties.
- For people aged 18 and older.
The website is not aimed at children and young people but we will provide information about organisations that support young people rather than list individual services. - Available to those living in Midlothian.
- Not-for-profit (registered charities, social enterprises and grassroots projects).
- We do not list individual counsellors but do signpost to British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland (COSCA) and United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) ethical framework.
Events, training and development opportunities
To be included on Midspace, events and training offerings must be:
- Non-discriminatory and accessible to people with mental health difficulties.
- Available to those living in Midlothian.
- Not-for-profit (registered charities, social enterprises and grassroots projects).
- Not primarily for fundraising purposes.
- Must take place in Midlothian or online.
We reserve the right to make a decision on whether to include services, events and training on the website. The safety of people is at the centre of any decision making.

How to add events, training and development opportunities
Email the details for your event, training and development opportunities to midspace@health-in-mind.org.uk.
Please include the following details:
- Name
- Organiser name
- Event description (around 250 words)
- Time
- Date
- Cost
- Website
News, social media and newsletter
We are always looking for new content for social media and our monthly newsletter. Please get in touch with news that you would like us to share through these channels. Email your requests to midspace@health-in-mind.org.uk.
Keeping Midspace up-to-date
One of our biggest priorities is to keep the information on Midspace up-to-date.
To do this, we need your support.
To keep Midspace accurate, we need you to provide regular updates for your service. Our team will prompt you every 6 months for an update but if any changes occur in the meantime, please get in touch.
If we don’t receive an update, your information will be removed from the website.
So please keep in touch and help us keep Midspace a reliable source of mental health and wellbeing information for people in Midlothian.
