Green Health Prescribing with Health in Mind
Health in Mind, Green and Active Groups provide space for people to use nature and the outdoors as part of their recovery journey.
Being outdoors allows us to be present, reducing anxiety. Daylight is great for helping with relaxation, resetting our internal clock to help with sleep and improving general mood.
There is space for reflection, and opportunity to be present and grounded, taking notice of the wildlife, flora, and fauna around us.

Green Health Prescribing with Cyrenians: S

S first started coming along to the Green Activity Sessions in summer 2022. Since then, the gardens have become a regular part of life for her and her daughter, Lee. They often visit at the weekends and even celebrate family occasions there with loved ones.
Cyrenians Community Gardens are special places that bring people together to connect with nature, learn new skills, and take part in therapeutic, meaningful activities. They offer a welcoming space for anyone facing challenges such as poor mental or physical health, isolation, or disadvantage and S has found the garden to be just that: a place to grow, connect, and feel at home.
