Date: 31 May
Time: 3.00 – 4.00 pm
As part of the Suicide Safe ME (Mayfield and Easthouses) initiative, Mayfield and Easthouses Development Trust (MAEDT) is hosting a free one hour workshop for people living or working in the area.
This is an introductory awareness session which will cover:
- the Suicide Safer ME initiative and the national United to Prevent Suicide campaign
- how to have supportive conversations around mental health
- the ALERT approach to providing initial help to someone at risk
- self-care and wellbeing
- useful resources and signposting options
The session will take place on Zoom. Please email Simon Miller to register your interest at email@example.com. There are multiple dates for this workshop so put what date you want to attend in the email. Details for accessing the course will then be sent out at the time of booking confirmation.
Please note: The nature of the topic has the potential to trigger distress in those affected by the issues. We ask everyone thinking of attending to consider their own safety and wellbeing, and whether the course is appropriate for them at this time. All participants should think about in advance who they could contact during or after the training should they be in need of support. The trainer and colleague will be available at the end of the session to talk to anyone on a one to one basis.
