Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland

Nordoff Robbins provides music therapy to vulnerable children and adults across Scotland. We aim to provide highly effective support for individuals with a wide range of needs and, through creative music making, enable them to make the most of their potential and enhance their quality of life.

We work with individuals who have a wide variety of additional support needs including mental health problems, autism, learning disabilities, speech and language difficulties, dementia and those in palliative care.

Music therapy is carried out in the Lothian clinic and also on an outreach basis in schools, hospitals, hospices, residential health care settings and community/voluntary sector projects.

There is no eligibility criteria. We do however discuss referrals with the person making the referral, to ensure that music therapy is an appropriate clinical intervention.
