MYPAS supports young people across Midlothian. It provides information and advice about all aspects of wellbeing, including sexual health, mental health, and drugs and alcohol.

Services Available

Counselling and Art Therapy are available for anyone who is aged between 12 – 18, and lives, works or goes to school in Midlothian. This is free and confidential, and is available in various locations across Midlothian.

Counselling is the opportunity to talk in confidence, with a person outside of your daily life, about anything that is troubling you. This might be; confusion, sadness, worry or anger, it might be about issues from the past, the present or concerns you have about your future.

Art Therapy involves drawing, painting or sculpting in the presence of a therapist. You may be able to express or communicate feelings or thoughts that are difficult to put into words You don’t have to be good at art to take place in Art Therapy.

Connected is the substance misuse service provided by MYPAS. There are a range of different activities across Midlothian designed to help young people address any problems they are having with drugs or alcohol. MYPAS can also work with parents of young people who have a substance misuse issue.

Sexual health support is available to young people aged between 12 – 21. workers support young people to make informed choices, and can also offer Pregnancy testing, contraception, and information and advice are all available. For current drop in times, see the MYPAS website.
