Future Pathways

Future Pathways offers help and support to people who were abused or neglected as children while they were living in care in Scotland. We work together to help survivors access person-centred support that will help them to lead full, healthy and independent lives and find their own pathways to a positive future.

To be able to register, any abuse or neglect you experienced must have taken place within a care setting. This includes:

  • Living in residential or foster care
  • Boarding school (either state, private or independent)
  • Having a long term stay in hospital
  • Or spending time in a Young Offenders’ Institution

The types of support we can help with include:

  • Activities within your local community
  • Counselling
  • Psychological trauma support
  • Arranging housing and benefit advice
  • Access to records
  • Work and education
