Ethnic Survivors Forum

The Ethnic Survivors Forum (ESF) supports minority ethnic men and women who are adult survivors of childhood abuse. It is a partnership between three organisations: roshni, Dundee International Women’s Centre, and Beyond The Veil. 

There is a free Telephone Helpline which offers survivors multi-lingual support and a listening ear, as well as details of local support services. It is free to call from anywhere in the UK. The Helpline Number is 0808 80 22 2222. 

A confidential counselling service is also available. This is is open to all members of all ethnic minority communities.  

Befriending is available through roshni. roshni’s befriending service provides support to anyone from a minority ethnic community who feels socially isolated or lonely. The service is for any minority ethnic male or female aged 18 or over and resident in Scotland.

  • A freephone telephone helpline offering confidential support and information on 0808 80 22 222 in a range of languages including English, Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali and Arabic
  • A unique interactive website offering support and information in up to nine languages including Urdu, Punjabi, Farsi, Arabic, Swahili, French, Cantonese and Polish -
  • A Group Support Programme where adult survivors can meet and share their experiences in a safe and secure environment
  • Face to face confidential support & counselling
