The Scottish Association for Mental Health is doing a survey on how benefit sanctions affect people with mental health problems

A sanction is when payments are stopped or reduced as a result of not completing certain tasks when receiving benefits.

SAMH will use the findings from the survey to inform their evidence to the House of Commons Work and Pensions Committee Benefit sanctions inquiry. The UK Government normally responds to Committee reports, so taking part in this survey will help SAMH to make the Government aware of how sanctions are affecting people.

Your data will be kept confidential and survey participants will not be named in the final report.
