Midlothian Science Festival will be held on Saturday 6 – Saturday 20 October.

Our programme includes both stand-alone events (talks/tours/workshops/activities) and an array of family science ‘gala days’ which are populated by table top and drop-in activities, with contributions from all the Edinburgh based universities, local businesses and national institutions such as Dynamic Earth and The Royal Botanic Gardens.

We are keen to work more closely with individuals, community groups and organisations within Midlothian to identify possible ideas for events/activities of interest and also to explore how we might co-create an event with any interested groups too. We always endeavour to offer a diverse mix of relevant, interesting and accessible science based events, from a neuro yoga class to a physics of chocolate workshop and from a dog walk event to a science themed singing concert and ceilidh.

We really do believe science is everywhere and for everyone and would love to make contact with some local groups to explore what we might be able to offer and how we could work together either during the festival or at a different point throughout the year.
